Abstract

Farmers Exchange Rate Index (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).

The Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) of Maluku Province in April 2021 was 100.17, an increase of 1.19 percent compared to March 2021, which was recorded at 98.99. The increase in NTP was caused by the agricultural production price index (It) which was recorded to have increased by 1.63 percent, exceeding the increase in the price index paid by farmers (Ib) by 0.44 percent.

In April 2021, Maluku Province was ranked 19th out of 34 provinces with an NTP of 100.17. The highest NTP occurred in Riau Province at 134.54, while the lowest NTP occurred in Bali Province at 92.12.

There are three sub-sectors that experienced an increase in NTP, namely the horticulture sub-sector (3.40 percent), the smallholder plantation sub-sector (2.13 percent), and the fisheries sub-sector (2.18 percent). Meanwhile, the other two sub-sectors experienced a decline in NTP, namely the food crops sub-sector (-1.86 percent) and the livestock sub-sector (-0.66 percent).

In April 2021, there was an increase in the IKRT by 0.48 percent. The increase in the IKRT was due to the increase in the IKRT in the food, beverage and tobacco expenditure groups; clothing and footwear; housing, water, electricity and other fuels; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance; health; transportation; Information, communication and financial services; as well as personal care and other services.

NTUP Maluku Province in April 2021 increased by 1.53 percent compared to March 2021, from 103.30 to 104.88.
