Abstract

The workforce in February 2021 is 836,171 people. There are 779,870 people working in Maluku in February 2021.
The Maluku Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) in February 2021 is 64.40 percent. LFP for men was higher than that for women.
The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) for February 2021 is 6.73 percent. The TPT in urban areas is higher than in rural areas.
Over the past year, the categories that experienced the largest increase in the percentage of the working population were Wholesale and Retail Trade; Repair and maintenance of cars and motorbikes, provision of accommodation and food and drink.
In February 2021, 67.23 percent of the population worked in informal activities and this percentage increased compared to February 2021.
In February 2021, there were 40.44 percent of the population working partially (working hours less than 35 hours a week) covering 12.59 percent of the unemployed and 27.85 percent of part-time workers.
There are 111,623 people affected by Covid-19 or 8.60 percent. The reduction in working hours is the impact of Covid-19 that is felt most by the working age population.
