Abstract

  • The number of poor people in Maluku in March 2021 was 321.81 thousand people (17.87 percent).
  • Compared to September 2020, the number of poor people has decreased by 0.6 thousand people, while in terms of percentage the poverty rate in Maluku in March 2021 also decreased by 0.12 percentage points.
  • The role of food commodities on the Poverty Line (GK) is much greater than that of non-food commodities (housing, clothing, education, and health).
  • In the period September 2020 s.d. March 2021, the Poverty Depth Index (P1) and Poverty Severity Index (P2) decreased. This indicates that in this period, the average expenditure of the poor tends to be closer to the poverty line and the disparity of expenditure of the poor is decreasing.
