Abstract

  • Maluku's exports in January 2024 reached US$ 8.22 million or decreased by around 58.63 percent compared to December 2023.
  • When compared with January 2023 of US$ 5.98 million, exports in January 2024 increased by around 37.60 percent.
  • Maluku's exports in January 2024 will come from the non-oil and gas sector.
  • Maluku's export destination countries in January 2024 are Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Japan, China, the United States and Ghana. The largest export was to China worth US$ 6.71 million.
  • The total export value of commodities from Maluku exported from ports outside Maluku in January 2024 reached US$ 4.79 million or an increase of 324.72 percent compared to December 2023.
  • When compared with January 2023 (US$ 6.94 million), the export value of commodities from Maluku exported through ports outside Maluku has decreased by around 31.02 percent.
  • Maluku imports in January 2024 reached US$ 32.64 million or decreased by around 24.13 percent compared to imports in December 2023 (US$ 43.01 million).
  • If compared to imports in January 2023 of US$ 18.35 million, imports in the same period in 2024 will increase by around 77.87 percent.
  • Maluku's imports for the period January 2024 come from Singapore, Vietnam and China. The largest import came from Singapore with a value of US$ 28.06 million.
