Abstract

  • Farmer Exchange Value (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
  • NTP is one of the indicators to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange rate (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
  • The Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) of Maluku Province in February 2025 was 101.95 or decreased by 0.94 percent compared to January 2025 which was recorded at 102.92. The decrease in the NTP was caused by the agricultural production price index (It) which was recorded as increasing by 0.22 percent, lower than the increase in the price index paid by farmers (Ib) which was recorded at 1.17 percent.
  • In February 2025, Maluku Province was ranked 34th out of 38 provinces with an NTP of 101.95. The highest NTP occurred in Bengkulu Province at 203.93; while the lowest NTP occurred in Papua Pegunungan Province at 100.09.
  • It was recorded that four subsectors experienced a decrease in NTP, namely the food crops subsector (-0.49 percent), the horticulture subsector (-4.86 percent), the people's plantation subsector (-0.68 percent), and the livestock subsector (-0.85 percent). Meanwhile, one other subsector experienced an increase in NTP, namely the fisheries subsector (2.28 percent).
  • In February 2025, there was an increase in IKRT of 1.23 percent.
  • The NTUP of Maluku Province in February 2025 increased by 0.08 percent compared to January 2025, namely from 111.31 to 111.39.
