Abstract

In January 2021, out of 90 CPI cities in Indonesia, 75 cities experienced inflation and 15 cities experienced deflation.

The highest inflation occurred in Mamuju City at 1.43 percent. The lowest inflation occurred in Ambon City and Balikpapan City at 0.02 percent. The highest deflation occurred in Bau-Bau City with 0.92 percent. The lowest deflation occurred in Pontianak City at 0.01 percent.

Ambon City experienced inflation of 0.02 percent with a CPI of 105.54. The city of Tual experienced deflation of 0.03 percent with a CPI of 106.63.

Out of 90 CPI Cities, Ambon City's CPI ranking dropped to 47th position. Tual City's CPI ranking also fell to position 27. Ambon City's monthly inflation and calendar year inflation are at 74th position, while Ambon City's year-on-year inflation is at 89th. Monthly inflation and inflation for the calendar year in Tual City are in the 77th position, while year-on-year inflation for Tual City is in the 62nd position.
