Abstract

  • In July 2021, out of 90 CPI cities in Indonesia, 61 cities experienced inflation and 29 cities experienced deflation.
  • The highest inflation occurred in Sorong City at 1.51 percent. The lowest inflation occurred in Sampit City at 0.01 percent. The highest deflation occurred in Manokwari City at 0.60 percent. The lowest deflation occurred in Maumere City and Samarinda City at 0.01 percent.
  • Ambon City experienced inflation of 0.07 percent with a CPI of 107.44. Tual City also experienced inflation of 1.16 percent with a CPI of 109.36.
  • Out of 90 CPI cities, Ambon City CPI ranking dropped to 25th position. 78th. Tual City's monthly inflation is in the 2nd position, the calendar year inflation is at the 5th position, while year-on-year inflation is in the 10th position.
  • 10 (ten) main commodities that experienced price increases or contributed the largest to inflation in Ambon City in July 2021, including: air transportation, cayenne pepper, mobile phone credit, coconut, cooking oil, women's underwear, pork, spinach, skipjack preserved, and chayote.
  • 10 (ten) commodities that experienced price increases in July 2021 and contributed the largest to Tual City's inflation were: tuna, scad fish, selar fish, mackerel, cassava leaves, mobile phone credit costs, papaya flowers, bean sprouts, cooking oil and fish pass.
