  • In February 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Maluku Province was 3.02 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 104.58. The highest inflation occurred in Central Maluku Regency at 3.26 percent with a CPI of 103.16 and the lowest occurred in Tual City at 2.88 percent with a CPI of 106.62.
  • Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in 10 expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 5.16 percent; health group at 3.81 percent; personal care and other services group at 3.48 percent; transportation group by 2.96 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.79 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.93 percent; education group at 1.59 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 1.40 percent; clothing and footwear group at 0.96 percent; and the equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group at 0.64 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: information, communication and financial services groups by 0.41 percent.
  • The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for Maluku Province in February 2024 is 1.19 percent and the year to date (y to-d) deflation rate is 1.00 percent
