Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is one of the indicators to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange rate (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed or for production costs.
The Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) of Maluku Province in October 2024 was 98.68 or an increase of 0.65 percent compared to September 2024 which was recorded at 98.04. The increase in NTP was due to the agricultural production price index (It) which was recorded as increasing by 0.13 percent and a decrease in the price index paid by farmers (Ib) which was recorded at 0.52 percent.
In October 2024, Maluku Province was ranked 38th out of 38 provinces with an NTP of 98.68. The highest NTP occurred in Bengkulu Province at 191.98; while the lowest NTP occurred in Maluku Province at 98.68.
It was recorded that three sub-sectors experienced an increase in NTP, namely the horticulture sub-sector (1.23 percent), the people's plantation sub-sector (1.69 percent) and the livestock sub-sector (0.71 percent). Meanwhile, two other sub-sectors experienced a decrease in NTP, namely the food crops sub-sector (-0.35 percent), and the fisheries sub-sector (-2.25 percent).
In October 2024, there was a decrease in IKRT by 0.56 percent.
The NTUP of Maluku Province in October 2024 increased by 0.13 percent compared to September 2024, namely from 107.11 to 107.25
