Abstract

In January 2025, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Maluku Province was 0.76 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.64. The highest inflation (y-on-y) occurred in Central Maluku Regency at 1.01 percent with a CPI of 107.22 and the lowest occurred in Tual City at -1.07 percent with a CPI of 104.93.
Inflation y-on-y occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in 8 expenditure group indices, namely: the food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 8.20 percent; personal care and other services group by 5.12 percent; health group by 4.90 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group by 2.97 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 1.58 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.08 percent; education group by 0.80 percent; and the transportation group by 0.10 percent. The expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in the index were: the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 11.37 percent; the recreation, sports, and culture group by 1.73 percent; and the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.53 percent.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) and year-to-date (y-to-d) deflation rate in Maluku Province in January 2025 was 0.33 percent.

Maluku Province in December 2024 experienced Month to Month (m-to-m) deflation of 0.41 percent, Year-to-Date (y-to-d) inflation and Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation of 1.28 percent.

In February 2025, Maluku Province experienced Month-to-Month (m-to-m) deflation of 0.63 percent, Year-to-Date (y-to-d) deflation of 0.95 percent and Year-on-Year (y-on-y) inflation of 1.33 percent.

In October 2024, Maluku Province experienced Month to Month (m-to-m) inflation of 0.65 percent, Year-to-Date (y-to-d) inflation of 1.44 percent, and Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation of 2.13 percent.

Maluku Province in November 2024 experienced Month to Month (m-to-m) inflation of 0.25 percent, Year-to-Date (y-to-d) inflation of 1.69 percent, and Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation of 2.23 percent.

August 2024 Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in Maluku Province was 2.58 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Ambon City at 3.46 percent.
