Abstract

  • In February 2025, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Maluku Province was 1.33 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.97. The highest inflation (y-on-y) occurred in Central Maluku Regency at 2.85 percent with a CPI of 106.10 and the lowest occurred in Tual City at -1.20 percent with a CPI of 105.34.
  • Inflation y-on-y occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in 9 expenditure group indices, namely: the food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 8.23 ​​percent; health group by 6.15 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group by 6.10 percent; personal care and other services group by 5.76 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 2.44 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 1.47 percent; transportation group by 1.07 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.99 percent; education group by 0.80 percent. Expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in the index, namely: housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 17.02 percent; and information, communication, and financial services group by 0.28 percent.
  • The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate in Maluku Province in February 2025 was 0.63 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.95 percent.
