Abstract

In December 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Maluku Province was 1.28 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.99. The highest inflation (y-on-y) occurred in Ambon City at 1.92 percent with a CPI of 107.20 and the lowest occurred in Tual City at 0.16 percent with a CPI of 106.50.
Inflation y-on-y occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in 8 expenditure group indices, namely: the food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 8.11 percent; personal care and other services group by 5.43 percent; health group by 4.70 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 1.52 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.95 percent; education group by 0.85 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.78 percent; and the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.14 percent. The expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in the index were: the recreation, sports, and culture group by 2.62 percent; the transportation group by 1.61 percent; and the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.38 percent. The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate in Maluku Province in December 2024 was 0.41 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 1.28 percent.

In January 2025, Maluku Province experienced Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation of 0.76 percent, Month to Month (m-to-m) deflation and Year-to-Date (y-to-d) deflation of 0.33 percent.

In October 2024, Maluku Province experienced Month to Month (m-to-m) inflation of 0.65 percent, Year-to-Date (y-to-d) inflation of 1.44 percent, and Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation of 2.13 percent.

In February 2025, Maluku Province experienced Month-to-Month (m-to-m) deflation of 0.63 percent, Year-to-Date (y-to-d) deflation of 0.95 percent and Year-on-Year (y-on-y) inflation of 1.33 percent.

Maluku Province in November 2024 experienced Month to Month (m-to-m) inflation of 0.25 percent, Year-to-Date (y-to-d) inflation of 1.69 percent, and Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation of 2.23 percent.

September 2024 Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in Maluku Province was 1.79 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Ambon City at 2.66 percent.
